We're not in High School anymore?

We are definitely not in High School anymore.  College is tough, way harder than high school and extremely more competitive.  I went through high school never having to study and i would get my 4.4 GPA and be completely satisfied.  Now I am in college and I have to work my ass off to get a 3.3 in order to get into the business school. Not only that but a A and an A- are worth two different amounts of points.  I came into college completely underestimating the amount of work I was going to have.  Now that I look back, I would have learned how to study in high school so I would know how when college came around.  I have the work ethic.  So in conclusion, I have to try a lot harder to get a little bit less.  WOW, College is hard.
Anyone feel the same way I do?

I don't feel that I have more work to do as far as the actual physical amount of homework that I have to do. However, the amount of studying is way greater. I feel exactly the same as you do, I had to do practically no studying at all and got good grades just going through the motions and doing the bare minimum. Now I have to study ALL of the time. It has gotten to the point that I hardly go out anymore because I feel like I have not done enough studying.

You stole the words out of my mouth. If i had entered college already knowing how to study I would be doing fine this semester. But after four years of high school where I didn't have to do anything to get the grades i need, college was a shock. There is less grades in the grade book and each assignment is harder. That doesn't make for good odds. I've been doing worse on assignments this semester. And to make things worse there are only a few assignments that make up my grade. Of course my grades dropped, what was I thinking was going to happen? I totally agree with you though. college is hard. And the sooner I realize that the better.
